US Cargo Control introduces new line of e-track

US Cargo Control continues to update its selection of tie down products, with the addition of gray E-track tie down rails. E-track (pictured above) is a  method of securing tie down straps in van trailers, sprinter vans, and other enclosed and utility-style trailers. The company currently carries a line of galvanized steel E-track, as well as green painted styles which will eventually be phased out. “E-track is versatile in industries ranging from small delivery vans to full-sized van trailers,” said Mitchell. “We are constantly updating our selection to make sure we have something for everyone, whether it’s a consumer wanting to transport a motorcycle, or one of our business-to-business customers wishing to create a full tie down system to secure cargo in a fleet of van trailers.”

Both horizontal and vertical styles are available, with various lengths offered ranging from short, 2 ft. track to long 10 ft. track to serve US Cargo Control’s customer base.

The eM2 is built on the Freightliner M2 106 Plus platform and features a battery electric Detroit ePowertrain.

Daimler Truck North America has commenced series production of the Freightliner eM2, a battery electric medium-duty truck designed for pick-up and delivery applications. These vehicles are being manufactured at DTNA’s truck manufacturing plant in Portland, Oregon.

The first production units in the U.S. will be delivered to Ferguson, Hogan Truck Leasing, Inc., Penske Truck Leasing, PITT OHIO, Ryder System, Inc., TITAN Freight Systems and Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing. In Canada, the first units will go to Brossard Leasing and Day & Ross.

Shyft’s Blue Arc EV will start customer deliveries in 2024 in Charlotte, Michigan.

An additional 150 units are planned for delivery to Randy Marion prior to end of 2023.

Orders for these trucks are open now, and deliveries will commence in Q4 of this year. But this was the first opportunity offered to drive the MD Electric, this time on California’s Sonoma Raceway.

Michelin added two new tires to the Defender line – the M/S2 all-season and the Platinum.

The electric bus platform aims to deliver more than 500 km range with up to 520 kWh of battery storage.

The BrightDrop Zevo 600 electric van boasts a range of up to 250 miles and can support a payload of 1,460 to 2,450 lbs.

Isuzu announced in March that it will introduce the 2025 NRR EV, a Class 5 battery electric truck, in early 2024.

The new center consists of 120 dock doors and 57 associates.
