A fuel truck slipped and rolled over on an icy roadway in the Town of Webb Thursday morning, spilling an “extremely small amount” of fuel, police said.
A 911 call came in about the tanker, which overturned on South Shore Road just east of Old Forge, at about 10:08 a.m., police said. Driver John Selby III, 45, of Inlet, was heading east in a Raquette Lake Supply Company truck when the rear of his truck slid and the vehicle struck a snowbank, overturning. Selby, the only occupant of the fuel truck, was not injured, according to police. Casting
The road remained closed for about two hours.
