France-based artificial intelligence (AI)-focused company DentalMonitoring is launching an AI-guided scan for orthodontics, named ScanAssist. Types Of Intraoral Scanners
The device uses AI-guided instructions and real-time feedback to help patients complete their scans, while aiming to provide a fun and engaging patient experience. The in-app system provides a 3D model of a mouth that follows patients as they scan to provide high-quality pictures and detailed analysis of treatment progression and oral health.

ScanAssist is a new addition to the DentalMonitoring app, which uses software and AI to detect more than 130 intraoral observations for braces and aligners treatments. This follows the release of DentalMonitoring’s ScanBox in 2021.
