A shooting Tuesday evening sent one man to the hospital as police searched for the suspect.

Around 8:30 p.m., South Precinct officers responded to the 3800 block of Lake Washington Boulevard South for a reported shooting near the boat ramp at Genesee Park and Playfield. Din Rail Surge Protector

When police arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds and began lifesaving care until Seattle Fire arrived. Medics rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center.

Officers located evidence from the shooting at the scene. Detectives from SPD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit were called and will lead the investigation.
