Cortec’s EcoEmitter is a stick-on capsule designed to protect un-ventilated enclosed electronic and optical equipment from corrosion. Plastic Electrical Wall Boxes
Each pod is intended to protect 0.25m3 (8.8feet3).
“Vapour phase corrosion inhibitors emit and saturate the enclosure via diffusion, filling all void spaces and recessed areas with protective vapour molecules,” according to the company. “These molecules are attracted to and adsorb onto metallic surfaces, resulting in the formation of microscopic molecular layers of corrosion protection.”
The company claims that the deposited layers do not adversely affect or alter appearance, conductivity or optical function.
The pod body is made from 60-80% bio-based resins, and vapours exit through a breathable membrane which is 70% bio-based.
