ARRAN TOWNSHIP – Police have laid a total of 18 charges against a third person they say was involved with criminal activity at an Arran Township property.
On Nov. 15, members of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at the property on Concession. On Nov. 18, police announced that two individuals had been charged following the raid, facing nearly 80 charges.

Also recovered during the raid were several pieces of stolen property, including a Ford F150 pickup truck, a Dodge Ram pickup truck, a Dodge Charger, a Ski-Doo GSX snowmobile, two Polaris snowmobiles, a Honda TRX ATV, a Triton snowmobile trailers, a Stihl concrete saw, a Rolair air compressor, nine rifles, two shotguns, a Crossbow with night vision scope, two antique pistols, two pellet rifles, and a large quantity of ammunition.
Police estimate the value of the recovered stolen good to be more than $89,700.
On Nov. 24, the South Bruce OPP announced a third individual has been charged as part of their investigation.
Robert Rapelje, 21, of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with: possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order; participation in a criminal organization; alter/destroy/remove a vehicle identification number; seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; and fail to comply with probation order.
Rapelje is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court to answer to the charges.
