The annual Los Angeles Auto Show — or, as its organizers like to call it now, Automobility LA — remains one of the marquee events on the American automotive calendar. The 2023 show begins this week, and several automakers have new car reveals planned during the L.A. show or alongside the event.
Here are five new cars dropping in Los Angeles that we're particularly looking forward to.
Toyota has officially revealed the 2025 Camry just ahead of the 2023 L.A. Auto Show. It comes with a standard hybrid powertrain and optional all-wheel-drive.
Toyota has expanded the Crown to become its own sub-brand in the U.S. with the new Crown Signia crossover. It's a two-row midsize SUV that only comes with a powertrain, and effectively replaces the Venza.
Subaru announced a new updated vehicle will debut on November 16, 2023. But we don't know which one yet. Teaser images show a crossover. Subaru's L.A. Auto Show reveal website links to several images of forests. We're betting it's the new Forester crossover. And we're hoping it's finally getting a hybrid option.
Lucid already has the Air sedan in production. Next up is the Gravity SUV. We don't have a lot of firm specs yet. But the Gravity should offer two-row and three-row seating configurations and the most range of any electric SUV on the market.
XPENG Hyundai won a World Car of the Year award with the Ioniq 5 SUV which looks a lot like a hatchback. Hyundai has a fire-breathing Ioniq 5 N hot-hatch version on tap for 2025. We've seen it already. But Hyundai will be unveiling the U.S. spec version, which should pack more than 600 horsepower.
